  • Publishing Lab: Type & Image

    Studio projects, case studies, readings and lectures introduce concepts and elements involved in the design of a variety of print-based and electronic-based publications. Emphasis is on the interdisciplinary aspect of publication design that includes writers, photographers and illustrators as well as the options of context of publication; news/information, reference, and personal narrative are some of the publication forms that are investigated. Sequence and editing for rhythm and pacing and advanced grid structures will be examined. Collaboration in concept and content is encouraged; this course will be offered concurrently with MC commercial photography. Elective: 3 credits/semester; 6 hours/week. Prereq GD 102 or permission of instructor.

Scheduling Update
